Thirsty
Yesterday was one of those days. We had doctor appointments in the morning. As is often the case, the doctor was running late and that part of our morning lasted close to noon. Catch a bite to eat and then do some shopping. We had lots of items to pick up and they could not all be found at the same store. I needed nails from one store, bagels from another store, sheep pellets from another, dog food from another, and that was only a good start.
About midafternoon, I was getting very thirsty but was too busy to stop and get something to drink. We needed to get home as quickly as possible to have time to feed the sheep and take the dog out who had been kenneled too long. It was one of those days we all had.
Back to being thirsty. My mouth was so dry as they say, I could spit cotton. I was feeling run down and getting crabby. I needed some water to drink.
This thought crossed my mind. Just as we need water to stay hydrated and be at our best. So, we need Jesus to rejuvenate us daily. Without His fullness in our life, we get run down and crabby. Take time today and drink from the source of Living Water. Stay hydrated.
“but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:14 NIV
