God’s Canvas
Today, April 14th is National Look Up At the Sky Day. In my fast-paced life, I don’t take the time to look up at the sky. When I was a young girl, I loved lying in the grass and watching the clouds above me move into shapes inspired by my creativity. Presently, when I’m a passenger in our car, I am in awe when I look at the clouds, the sunrise or the sunset. But I don’t intentionally slow down and take the time to look up at the day or night sky.
When we explore the Scriptures about the sky, we are reminded of the tremendous beauty of God’s creation. It shows God’s supreme power and creativity. The sky has been called God’s canvas. Each sunrise and sunset is like His paintbrush, creating stunning colors and scenes for us to enjoy. l am amazed at God’s artistry in the sky.
The sky offers us a canvas of hope and promise. When we see a rainbow, a starry night, a sunrise, or a sunset, we are reminded of God’s covenant with us. We are reminded of His glory and grace. His divine symbols inspire us to remain steadfast in our faith even in challenging times. The sky teaches us about the promises God has for our lives. He has not forgotten us. As we glance upward, we can restore our hope that we can navigate life with courage, for the skies are a continuous reminder of God’s faithfulness and His light shining even in our darkest hours.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” Psalm 19:1
