I am a dreamer. I dream about many things. When I went fishing, I dreamt the next fish that would take my bait would be a record-breaking fish. It never happened.
I have dreamt what I would do with a large sum of money if it came my way. It never has.
There were a lot of things through life I hoped would become reality that have not. There is a reason for that. My hopes were based on either my ability or luck. Neither of those offer much certainty.
The Bible talks about another type of hope that does not depend on my ability or sheer luck. It is a hope that is centered on who God is. When God makes a promise, it will be kept with 100% certainty. That changes everything in my thinking. It gives me peace, security, and confidence to follow Him.
When God tells me to hope for Jesus’ return. I can expect Jesus to return. When God tells me I can trust Him to do what is best. I no longer need to fear.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 NIV

Glad those few words were a blessing. Praying God will use you when you share about hope. Your life is so full of illustrations you can use.
