Copycat
When you hear the word copycat, what comes to your mind? In today’s world, it usually carries a negative connotation. A person does something awful and then some individuals get the idea that they should imitate or copy that bad behavior.
However, there is a much better way to think about what it means to be a copycat or to imitate another’s behavior. A person smiles at you. That makes you feel good. You smile at the next person you talk to and that makes them feel good. A person does a random act of kindness for you, they leave some homemade sweets on your desk. You pay it forward and do a random act of kindness for some other person.
Today we have opportunities to make choices about whose lifestyle we want to imitate or copy. Let me suggest we imitate Jesus’ lifestyle and work to make it ours today. Jesus loves me unconditionally. Help me today to not judge others by their outward appearance. Help me to love them as Jesus loves me, unconditionally.
Children would flock to Jesus because they felt His kindness and gentleness. Look for an opportunity today to show kindness to someone who feels overlooked. You never know, such behavior may become contagious.
“Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 11:1 ESV

Love this. Simplistic and true … in that anyone can practice it and in doing so spread The Lord’s TRUTH! Amen 🙏🏼💙
