I have never really sat down to write my own bio before. I am used to structured resumes with bullet points. As I sit down to write this, I am realizing that this is exactly how God works in my life. My human mind can’t possibly see past the bullet points and highlights. I get headaches if I try to wrap my mind around it all, but God does! He KNOWS my story. He knows it so intimately and completely, it’s amazing! I am constantly in awe of His work in my life.
My faith began to blossom in 2005. I started attending First Baptist Church Chappell Hill with the Beckworth family. Their encouragement and love for me aided me in staying involved with the church, youth ministry, and choir. I cannot stress how much that church and family saved my life physically and spiritually.
The first Bible verse that I memorized and clung to for life is 1 Corinthians 13:4-7(ESV).
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does n insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endure things.”
Being accepted as the Worship & Creative Arts Director at Fellowship Bible Church is a blessing. I have faith that everything He has done and continues to do in my life has brought me to this place. I give myself to Him and fully believe in the mission of ‘Sharing God’s Love With Others’, and I am excited to participate in this ministry.
My husband, Bradley, and I have two sons. Our youngest lives with Jesus.
