Jesus Is Coming Back
Today is Christmas Eve so I want to wish everyone a Blessed and Merry Christmas! We often use today and this season of the year to reflect on events that happened long ago. However, just as the Israelites were waiting for the Messiah to come the first time, we are waiting for Jesus to come again.
The first time Jesus came, He came as a baby. The next time He comes it will be as King and Lord over all. We Have this hope within us that things will get better. When Jesus returns, He will make everything right. The Bible tells us that we will have a part to play in that whole process.
So today as you celebrate the birth of Jesus be sure to not just look back, but also look forward to and anticipate His imminent return.
Lord, thank you for loving me so much that you were willing to come to this earth, live among us, and die for my sin and the sin of the world. Help me to remember that you promised you are Coming Again, and maybe soon. Help me to live in a way that brings glory to you, considering that promise. Amen
