Changed Lives
The greatest blessing I know is to witness a life being transformed by God. There were the Apostles. One day they were fishing or collecting taxes and the next they dropped their nets and collection basket and followed Jesus. One day Paul was persecuting followers of Jesus and the next he was pleading with others to follow Jesus. That’s radical.
We know those stories, but every day lives are being changed just as dramatically by God. Prisoners are changing their destiny. They may still be behind bars, but they have been freed of their sin, guilt, and shame by the cleansing blood of Jesus. They are free to live for Jesus. There will be those addicted to drugs, alcohol, or pornography that will be freed from their addictions by the power of God at work in them today. Only God will be able to do for them what they have been unable to do for themselves, change from the inside out. Our God is awesome.
Maybe your story is not so dramatic. Friends, any life that has been changed by God “IS” dramatic. We were headed in one direction and now are headed in a very different direction. What mattered before, the things of this world, no longer matter. Look back and see how God has changed your life from who you were to who you are. Look up at Jesus and ask God to continue to make us more like Him!
