There are two rainy seasons in Kenya. One is from April to June and the other from November to around mid-December. During the rainy season it is nice during the day but then when afternoon comes the skies open, and you can get torrential rain.
The savannah turns from a crispy brown to a lush green. The trees and shrubs flower abundantly. Crops flourish. It is such a refreshing time when the rain comes.
I have seen it where the rain comes down so hard the drainage system cannot handle all the excess water. The very heavy cast iron drain covers are just blown up in the air.
That picture is a great example of how God desires to fill His children with peace and joy. He wants us to be so full of peace and joy that we cannot contain it in our lives. It just has to overflow.
Where there is no peace and joy there is no hope. The more we trust Him, the more peace and joy will enter our lives. A person who learns to trust God will be filled to overflowing with peace, joy, and above all hope.
My prayer for you is Paul’s prayer for the believers in Rome. May God give you supernatural, way above and beyond the normal, peace, joy, and hope as you trust Him.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 NIV
