A Morning Prayer
Good morning, Father! I know you have no need to sleep or eat, but I thank you for the good nights’ sleep I had. Yes, there were moments when I woke up, but you reminded me of people who needed prayers.
You are an awesome God. You are full of unending grace and are generous beyond measure. You even provide sun and rain to those who curse your very name daily. There is none like you.
The home I live in down here is beginning to show its age. I even had to replace my furnace recently. I know you are preparing a special dwelling place for me in heaven right now where nothing will break, and I will never have to heat the house again. The older I get the more I am aware I will be moving in sooner than later. I bet the view will be awesome!
Father, pride and selfishness are spiritual battles I fight daily in my soul. Forgive me when I give in to those sins. I know how much that hurts others and you. I desire to give you glory in all things and to put others before myself. I do not always do that as you well know. There is nothing that escapes your notice.
Please help me find a forever home for my dear dog Jack, who is deaf. I guess you know that too. I love him much but believe he will be happier somewhere else. In Jesus Name Amen!
