A Helping Hand
Have you ever tried to do something, and you need that extra hand. I am holding a board in one hand, a drill in the other, and I need another hand to hold the screw. God gave us only two hands for a reason. Learn to ask for help.
I have this great neighbor, who lives by himself. If he is doing a project and needs a helping hand, he gives me a call. I drop what I am doing and go help him. He does the same for me. We have figured out that neighbors help each other out in times of need.
Have you ever fallen, and someone offered you a helping hand to get up? I have. That outstretched hand reaching to take hold of yours is such a blessing.
Have you ever asked a “friend” for help and been turned down. We know how that feels.
No matter if it is an emergency or if we just need a helping hand, I know someone who is always on call and ready to help. What is amazing is I don’t even need a phone to reach him. More than once, I have found myself in trouble and I just ask God to help. I have never been turned down. He is never too busy or out of town.
“But as for me, I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my deliverer you are my God, do not delay.” Psalm 40:17 NIV
