When Time Stops
I am an on-time kind of guy. For me that means being at least five minutes early. Others I know, not so much. Most couples, for no reason know to me, usually have one on-time person, and the other let’s say, not so much. You know the rest of the story. It plays out every time you need to be somewhere at a given time. Most of the time it plays out with a laugh, lots of understanding by both, but other times not so much.
I cannot comprehend living outside of time. I start writing this blog every morning about the same time, 5am. I eat around 7am, 12 noon, and 6pm. Each of us has our schedules.
There will come a time when the sun never sets, we never have a bedtime, or a time to get up. We will never miss our sleep. There will be no days, nights, or clocks because there will be no time. This week because of when the 4th of July Holiday was, I lost track of the days of the week. There will come a time when there will be no days or even seasons. Time will stop in heaven. We will live forever in the present moment, and never worry again about what is not getting done or what we need to do.
“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” 2 Peter 3:8 NIV
