Worth It
With the cost of everything going up, I often ask myself, is it worth it, before making the purchase. Even in the bead isle of the grocery store I pause and wonder, am I getting my money’s worth? The larger the purchase the more I ponder the decision. It may take me 5 minutes to make my selection of Keto friendly bread. It may take six months for Monika and me to decide which car to buy when that time comes. I find it hard to buy a car that costs more than an entry level home costed years ago.
I wonder if God ever looked down on humanity and asked this question. Are they worth it? I wonder if He ever looks down and has buyers’ remorse, considering how the world is turning its back on Him. We know the answer to those questions. For God so loved the world, He gave His Son. The more I ponder His love for me, the more I am amazed by what that looks like.
My response can only be one. Worthy is the Lamb of God to receive all praise, honor, and worship. He is worthy to rule in my heart now as my Lord and beyond for all eternity. He is worthy to be King forever! He endured the shame of the cross because He is love. He is worthy of my undivided loyalty.
