I found a common purpose of water this morning at 5am. Blacky was walking over me to wake me up so I could feed him. He was standing on my arm, and I must have startled him. He jumped and sank his hind claws deep into my arm. I was too tired to scream, but could hear my skin rip, and felt the blood run down my arm. I got up and immediately washed the wound out with clean water. We use water to wash germs out of cuts, dirt off our clothes, and food off our dishes. Water cleanses.
You know the feeling. It is hot outside, and you are thirsty. Nothing can remedy that better than a glass of water. Water satisfies thirst.
Water puts out fires. Man can fight forest fires, but nothing puts them out faster than a heavy rain from heaven.
When there is a drought, we pray for rain. Water is needed for life to exist. Our bodies are made up of about 60% water.
Water was used by God to destroy the world in the flood. Moses hit a rock with his staff and water came pouring out to satisfy a thirsty nation. Jesus was thirsty and asked a Samaritan woman to give Him a drink. His answer is transformational.
“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14 NIV
well said…hope your arm heals up quickly and cleanly
