Yesterday, as I was writing my daily blog something strange happened. I had chosen a verse, 1 John 4:18, to wrap my thoughts around. That verse played and continues to play a huge role in my journey of faith. When I finished writing what God laid on my heart to write and went to add the closing verse, I realized what I wrote about was something entirely different than what I planned on writing. I never had that happen before. I went ahead and published what I wrote, taking it as a God thing.
God’s ways are not always man’s ways. God does direct our paths. He does lead us to go places and say things we never thought possible. Our ways are very limited. God’s ways are so much greater than anything we can ever think or imagine! Our God is so awesome!
In my journey of faith, I need to trust God at all times, even when it does not seem to make sense at the moment. His ways are better and wiser than my ways. Even during those tough times in my journey, His ways are perfect. I need to understand that God knows what is best for me. He loves me as a Father loves His child.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9 NIV
