I share my home with 5 cats. Each one has their own personality. One stays away from me most of the time. One loves to find new ways of sneaking out the door. One wants to always be near me. If I did not lock my office door, I would not be able to type this. She insists on laying either on my keyboard or in front of the screen, changing it with her paws.
Cats are very inquisitive. If a cabinet door is left open too long, they sneak inside. If I go into the spare bedroom, we keep that door closed, they try and sneak in and check out what they have been missing.
Their curiosity gets them in trouble. Sometimes the door closes on the cabinet or spare bedroom while they are still inside. With five cats, hours may pass before we recognize Mocha or Patches is missing. How do we find them. We listen for their “cry.” When we hear their cry, we can save them from their prison.
When we feel trapped, we need to cry out in prayer to God for help. He is listening for our cries. He is always ready to rescue us. He never quits searching and listening. Thank you, Jesus, for finding and recuing me!
““The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. 19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.” Psalm 145:18-19 NIV
