If your mind is like mine, it is very active. There is always something going on up there and in there. What I allow my mind to focus on has a huge impact on what the rest of my day will look like.
When difficult times come my way, it is so easy to focus on all that could go wrong. It is easy to begin to doubt if God has my back or if I am in this alone.
Our minds are so very powerful. The Bible is crystal clear that what we allow to enter our minds will have a direct bearing on our relationship with God and others.
We need to see our minds as a war zone. When Satan tempts us to doubt or question the fairness, love, or forgiveness of God the Bible tells us, we need to nuke such thoughts. Those thoughts need to be wiped out of our minds.
Taking captives in this war is also essential to winning the battle. We need to capture right thinking in our minds as it relates to the knowledge of God and obedience to the teachings of Jesus.
What we allow our minds to dwell on, the truth of God’s Word or the lies of Satan will either make or break our day today.
“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:2 NKJV
