I am reading through the Book of Daniel currently. To say some passages are hard to fully understand is an understatement. Even Daniel was overwhelmed by the visions God gave to him. “I, Daniel, was worn out. I lay exhausted for several days. Then I got up and went about the king’s business. I was appalled by the vision; it was beyond understanding.” Daniel 8:27 NIV
We cannot understand all that is currently happening. There can be so much uncertainty, so much beyond our control. Some people go on as if nothing is happening. Others are preparing for end times.
This I know. God is in control now, just like He has been in the past, and will be in the future. There is nothing that escapes God. God has a perfect plan for this world. Everything is on His time schedule. Everything is right on time.
Jesus came into this world at just the right time the first time, and will come back the second time, at just the right time. We have no power to push it back or move it forward one day, or even one minute. God knows the times and seasons and they are in His hand. He is Sovereign!
In times like we are now experiencing, God wants us not to fear, but to be courageous, and to trust Him. I put my future in God’s hands.
“They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.” Psalm 112:7 NIV
