Be Thankful
Every day we get a fresh start. Whatever went on yesterday is in the past. This is a whole new day to experience life. Thank you, God, that you are not finished with me, and you have a purpose for me to complete this new day.
Thank you, God, that you love me. You always have my best interest in mind. You know how to comfort me in moments of pain. You know how to encourage me in moments of discouragement. When I feel lonely you come beside me. When I wonder off the straight and narrow, you come looking for me and put me back on the right path.
Thank you, God, for your faithfulness. Every promise you have ever made to me, you have kept. It is so easy to take that for granted. I can say that is way better than my feeble attempt at keeping my promises to you. Even when I doubt your faithfulness, nothing changes on your part. I can count on you 100% of the time. You never disappoint.
Thank you, God, for your mercy and grace. I hate to think what my life would look like without those. You don’t give me the punishment I deserve every time I fall short of the standard you set for me. Beyond that, you give me blessings I do not deserve every day of my life.
Thank you, God, for my wife, my family, and my friends. You have brought some very special people into my life for which I am forever grateful.
