No Disappointments
In the course of this life, we learn to deal with many disappointments. We set expectations for ourselves and others. Those expectations at times are not realized and with that comes disappointment and even much pain.
Have you ever thought about living in a world free of all disappointment? I know that is hard to imagine because the world we live in is full of people who are very human.
When we moved to the country, we had our home custom built. It was our first attempt to construct a home the way we wanted it. Before that we lived in homes others built the way they wanted them built. Guess what happened shortly after we moved in. We were disappointed that our kitchen was not large enough, certain doors opened in the wrong direction, and there should have been an on and off switch for certain lights in more places.
God tells us He is preparing for us a heavenly dwelling place where there will be zero disappointments. Not only will our surroundings overwhelm us but so will everyone we interact with. Why? There will be no sin in heaven. Above all that, we will get to see Jesus and join with the angels in singing the most beautiful songs anyone has ever heard enter their ears. No sour notes. No out of tune instruments. Everything will be absolutely perfect. Set your eyes on heaven. Looking inward and outward disappoints. Looking upward never disappoints!
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 NIV
