Day 30
Read: Job 38:1 – 40:5
God responds to Job with rhetorical questions related to Creator-wisdom. His questions showed his dominion over the creation of the earth, the sea, time, death, light and darkness, the weather, the heavens and the animals (wild & domestic). If Job can trust God to run the universe, he can trust God to run his life.
Job was “speechless” when confronted with God’s majesty.
In what areas of your life are you demanding answers from God, and how can you adopt Job’s attitude of humility?
God doesn’t explain why Job suffered.
How can you find comfort in trusting God’s character and sovereignty rather than needing to know the reason behind your pain?
