This Is The Day
How would you complete those four words? This is the day I am going to buy a new washing machine! Ours just broke. This is the day I am going to fix this or clean that. This is the day….!
Each day begins with plans that are as varied as there are people on this earth. We have very individual plans and goals for what we want to see accomplished today. That is all well and good.
Not only do I have plans for what I need to do today but Monika has plans for what she wants me to do for her around the house etc. When you go to work your boss will have plans for what he or she wants you to do as well. It all can get overwhelming in a hurry if you think about it ahead of time.
How about completing those four words this way. This is the day that I am going to let God be in control. His plans for you today are to fill you with hope and to prosper you in whatever direction your day goes. Letting God be in control takes the load off your shoulders. Oh, you still will need to make choices and do this and that but you can have peace no matter what God allows to come your way. Know this, this day God is on my side.
