Another Blessing
On Monday morning I had to have my car towed into the shop. It was one of the coldest mornings so far and the driveway was coated with ice. I heard his tow truck pull up and I put on my layers of winter gear to go out and meet him. A few pleasantries were exchanged, and he went about his business. I watched him as he skillfully got the chains ready and utilized the equipment to get my car on the trailer. The wind was bitter as he laid down on the icy driveway to make sure the chains were set just right. He knew what he was doing, and I relaxed watching his skilled competence. Later that afternoon I got the phone call, my car was all done and ready to go. Thank You Lord.
The verse from Genesis 1:27 came to mind. “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Thank You Lord for making it this way. I don’t know one female that would be happy driving a tow truck to rescue people in all kinds of weather. And do the heavy lifting of some of these jobs.
In a world of male bashing I am here to applaud all those hard working men that make our world go round. Thank You Lord for making men this way. Thank You Lord for the skilled tow truck driver and the mechanics that do their job faithfully. Just another blessing but such an appreciation for those who make life easier.
