God Winks
Did you ever have one of those moments where you knew it was all God and His doing? I don’t know about you, but when it happens to me it makes me want to shout, YES, thank You Lord.
In fixing up a room in my basement, my thoughts were I need to get rid of this huge desk and replace it with a much smaller one. The kind with 3 drawers on each side, a middle drawer and a space in the middle where you sit. Very simple and basic. I’m not even sure I prayed and asked God to help me find one. But God knowing our thoughts does not withhold any good gifts from His children. On Sunday morning on the way to church I spotted the prized desk. The man always has items for sale outside his home, on the highway. So on the way home we stopped and looked at it. The man came out, I paid him the price and we loaded it up in the back of my truck.
Is this a huge event in a hurting, suffering world that has so many needs besides a woman wanting a used desk? NO. But it is huge in the idea that the Almighty God of the universe can show Himself to be so personal As believers we know that there are no coincidences in our life. There is no good luck or bad luck. When we put our lives in His sweet loving hands He will provide and take care of us in the big and in the small things. And the very personal touch He extends makes me fall in love with Him all over again. What a good God we serve. Amen.
