Is A Little Enough
There are times when a little is not enough. There are times when we need help. Let’s say there is a 200 pound landscape rock in the flower bed that Monika wants moved. I am going to need someone to come over and help move it.
Have you ever needed something in your kitchen that is just beyond your reach? You need help, probably with a sturdy stool, to help you reach it. You were just a little too short.
My neighbor sometimes calls me over, or I call him over, when two hands are not enough to hold something in place while the other person does what needs to be done. That is what neighbors do for each another when they come up short on hands, or sugar, or butter, or flour. They help each other.
When we come up short on peace, contentment, patience, joy, etc. during the day because of unforeseen situations, we need help but who do we have to turn to? Our Father is an ever present “help” in times of trouble.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1 NIV
He is our refuge, or shelter. When the tornados of life are headed our way, we need a sturdy shelter to seek safety in. That is our Father. When we feel trapped by the circumstances of life and are in “trouble” our Father is ever present to help us.
Remember, with just a little faith the Bible says we can move a mountain! A little faith can give us the power we need to gain the victory in the very tough battles we fight.
